The fine print, in plain words

Why is it free for customers, permanently?

Because charging the person with the broken pipe is how you end up with an empty marketplace. Demand pays nothing; the platform earns on the supply side once pros are winning steady work.

What exactly does the 10% contractor fee apply to?

The agreed price of jobs won through the platform, once fee collection ever activates. Right now it's waived in full under the launch offer — the fee actually charged today is 0%. It's disclosed in the contractor terms at signup, and any change comes with 30 days' notice, never retroactively.

Do you charge connection fees or make pros pay to see leads?

No, and we're building the business specifically so we never have to. Other platforms charge per-lead or sell memberships to waive fees; we think that taxes the connection before any value exists. Bidding is free here.

What about payment processing and Service Protection?

In-platform payments with a completion-based hold (Service Protection) are on the roadmap for verified pros. When they arrive, the terms will be written narrowly and published before activation — and the customer side stays free.
